MARIE L. CONVERSE
Marie L. Converse, 93, of Springfield, formerly of Hettick, died Thursday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 23, 1904, in Hettick, the daughter of Jonathan and Iretta Robison Stewart. She married Walter Converse in 1926; he preceded her in death in 1976.
Mrs. Converse, a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, was employed as a retail clerk until her retirement.
Survivors: a daughter, Joyce Meyer of Springfield; five grandchidren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services: 2 p.m. today, Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, Hettick. Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra is in charge of arrangements.
