WILLIAM STEWART died at the home of REUBEN JONES in Morgan Co IL. He resided near Hettick, S. Palmyra Twp.,
MaCoupin Co IL. No tombstone was ever found for him, his wife Naomi/Mioma or any of their children who died young.
It is possible they are buried in JONES CEMETERY, Waverly Twp., Morgan Co IL. This cemetery is located in the woods,
unkept with brush, trees, etc. and hard to find stones. William's mother was PHOEBE JONES, brother of WAITMAN
JONES who had a stone in this cemetery.
William Stewart was a brickmaker, and made the bricks for the JOHN WHEELER brick house in Bird Twp., MaCoupin Co IL,
possibly one of the first brick homes in the area. JOHN R. STEWART s/o Wm. married John Wheeler's dau HULDAH.

IL, which was before 1834, where she signed permission for her son William Stewart to marry, or he was the Joseph
ngland who died in Marion Co. IL 1844. Most England researchers believe that this Joseph is not the one Phoebe was
married to. This researcher still does not have proof that that is so. Thomas England's obit states he was a half brother
to Seibird England. Seibird is the s/o of Joseph who died in 1844 in Marion Co. IL Further research needs to be done to
establish whether the parents of Thomas were Joseph & ? or Joseph & Phoebe. Joseph England went on to Marion Co.

Thomas England Obit: Thomas England died in this city Tuesday, March 19 after an illness of about a month. He was
born in East Tennessee March 23, 1821 and when he was 12 years of age his parents removed to Morgan County, Illinois.
His wife, who was Miss SUSAN JONES before their marriage which occurred in 1844, survives him. Of their nine children,
seven are living as follows: ESTHER E., wife of TITUS JONES of Auburn, Ills; JOSEPH E.; WILLIAM P.; and J. C.
ENGLAND and Mrs. NANNIE HARRISON of this city; ROBERT C. of Quincy; and Mrs. JOHN COTASKY of Dubuque,
Iowa. He removed to White Hall 24 years ago and lived here Continously until his death. He had a half-brother, Rev. Bird
of Girard, who died six or eight years ago. Mr. England was a quiet, honest, Industrious citizen and always endeavored to
do the right as he saw the right. The funeral took place today, services being held at the residence at two O'clock p.m.

JONES, Robert A., representative farmer of Morgan County, was born in Morgan County, Tennessee in 1818, his father
WAITMAN JONES was born in Franklin County, Virginia in 1797; tracing this family farther, ROBERT A., the
grandfather, was born in England in 1748, of a wealthy and distinguished family; he acquired a liberal education, and
became one among the noted scholars of England; he then married an English lady, who died in England, and whose name
in unknown; by this marriage two children: EDWARD and PHOEBE; to better his fortunes he crossed the Atlantic, years
before steamboats were seen on the broad waters; settling in Franklin County, Virginia, he there married MISS SUSAN
RICHARDS, by whom he had eight children, six whom grew to maturity, names: EDWARD, PHOEBE, REUBEN,
ELIZABETH, WAITMAN; and SUSAN. ROBERT A. JONES died in Virginia, after a long and busy life; Waitman, the
father of the subject of this notice, grew up in Virginia and Tennessee, where he married MISS ESTHER STEWART;
by this marriage twelve children: ROBERT; MARY; BRICE; SUSANNAH; REUBEN; EDWARD; ELAH; PHOEBE;
