OTHER INFORMATION

Pickaway County was established in 1810. The name "Pickaway" was taken from the Indian word "Piqua" which means "man risen from the ashes". The surface of the county is level and the soil is productive.

Circleville, the county seat, is known for its annual Pumpkin Festival each October.
