OTHER INFORMATION

Clark County was named in honor of General George Rogers Clark, during the area Indian wars. Located about 45 miles west of Columbus, Clark County is a productive area drained by the Mad and Little Miami rivers.

Springfield is the county seat and the largest city in the county, housing 200 diversified industries. Located here are Wittenberg University and the Clark County Technical Instutute which opened in 1967, the first of its kind in Ohio.
