The USGenWeb Special Projects
Just as your ancestors searched for a better place to live and raise their
families during the great westward migration, so do the researchers of the
internet search for their family history. One of the best resources is
The USGenWeb Project.
Like everything we do in the USGenWeb, this is being done in the spirit of sharing,
by sharing of resources and time to assure that all future researchers will have the
benefit of this information at the click of the mouse. This is an incredible gift
to the present and future researcher.
The special projects in the USGenWeb Project are grouped by specialized area and set up
to promote the gathering of information. When the goals of each of these projects are
realized, a researcher should be able to visit a "virtual" courthouse, cemetery, etc. via
their computer keyboard and mouse.
Following is a list of the current Special Projects. If you click on the project it
will take you to a separte page with information and links to the that USGenWeb Special
Project.
