DAY(DeFreitas), HENRIQUE, VIEIRA, JACINTO

My wife is descended from one or more of the Exile families. I have been doing gen. research for a couple of years now and ran across the connection while researching in Salt Lake City which led me to Eileen Gochanour's book on the 1st Portuguese Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, IL. where, on page 29, I found a picture of my wife's ggrandparents, Emanuel and Mary Day.

My wife' pedigree includes: Dorothy May Day, b:11/02/1920 in Jacksonville:
Frank E. Day, b:06/12/1884 in Jacksonville:
Emanuel A. Day, b:08/1846 in Maderia and Domingues Day(Diaz),b:1810 in Maderia, d:05/18/1888 in Jacksonville.

Her family includes the surnames: Hendrique, and Vieria. Her grandmother was Reffina Jacinto, b:02/03/1890 in Jacksonville.

Although Dorothy Day still has family in Morgan Co. who she communicates with, they can't or won't supply me with info on any of the other descendants of Emanual Day.

Frank Day had five brothers: Charles, John Ulysses(who was a doctor in Jacksonville), Richard A., Fred E. and Leonard A.. I met Richard, who never married, but I would like to contact any descendants of the other four brothers.

Hoping to hear from you,
Larry Swan
Kitsap County, WA
