Subject: Drex’s Second Day of School

I can't write much because we are watching the Portuguese news, trying to decipher the ongoing USA responses to the attacks there. Fortunately, we met some Australians last week with cable and we spent a few hours there this evening with CNN (in English). I think we were as up-to-date as anyone in the States as of an hour ago.

Anyway, please know that when I picked Drex up today he had just finished playing a fun game and he told me that school was FUN. Praise God, praise God. There were some difficult moments today (some kids laughed because he didn't speak Portuguese well but it seems the kids felt really badly about it at once -- honestly, it seems the kids here are SO MUCH KINDER than in the States, which is a blessing. I've written to a few folks about the things we've witnessed that make me say this). So Drex was encouraged today regarding school.

Will you PLEASE continue to pray for him? This evening, of course, he is was little confused about what is happening in the USA. I pray that won't upset him too much. And please pray that tomorrow is also another good day at school.
