Maddux Cousins Update
Winter 1999

Happy Holidays, to all my cousins. What a year this has been. This is the final issue for 1998. I cant believe the year is gone. We started in March with 3 of us and are ending the year with 112 on the MadduxCousins Mailing list on the web and at least 40 on our snail mail list. Wow. We have also grown beyond just Alexander Maddox to other lines as well. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of data that has been shared and I am very unhappy about not being able to keep up with it all. I had planned on an overview of the data that has been shared through this year. I will have to do it for the Spring 1999 issue. The Brock, Texas Maddux Reunion sparked a couple of related articles, which just filled up this issue right fast. Enjoy!

Our newsletter has gained a lot of interest. I find that instead of being able to make all the copies myself here at home, (50 for the Fall Issue and 100 for the Winter Issue) I am going to have to go to the copy place. That means I will have to put out more money than I have. It has been a difficult decision to make but I am going to have to charge a subscription for it. I have figured out that if I charge $15 per year I should be able to make expenses. So if you wish to receive the newsletter next year please fill out the s ubscription form and send it in. If you are on a limited income and cant afford the subscription please let me know because I do not want to leave anyone out.

I have a lot more information to share because a lot of the cousins have sent photos and stories so I do hope you will stay with us.
