FIRST GENERATION
1. William Evans NICHOLSON [S1] was born on 16 Dec 1765 [S2].  Died on
20 Mar 1820 in Pendleton District Co. SC.  Probate on 7 Aug 1820 in
Pendleton District Co SC.  Occupation in 1806 in Magistrate in
Pendleton Dist., SC.  Served in Revolutionary War.  From in Penn.
[S1].   Served in Revolutionary War.
He married Martha RICHARDSON.  Martha RICHARDSON [S1,S3] was born in
1763.  Died on 2 Jul 1840 in Pickens District Co SC.  Death possibly
1846 (Era Morgan Davis).  Buried in Holden Cem, (Low Water Bridge)
EMD, Raburn Co GA.

2. Mary B. NICHOLSON [S1] was born on 30 Jun 1788 in SC.   Though June
has only 30 days, "Stone says 31". EMD.  Died on 28 Mar 1883.
She married Barak NORTON on 10 Jan 1805.  Barak NORTON [S1,S4] was
born on 10 May 1777.  Died on 1 Sep 1899.
They had the following children:

3. Issac R. NICHOLSON [S1] was born about 1790 in SC.  1790 to 1794.
Died on 10 Jan 1835 in AL.
He married Sallie (Nicholson & Lamar) VANN.  Sallie (Nicholson &
Lamar) VANN [S1]
4. Ira R. NICHOLSON [S1] was born in 1793 in G'ville Co., SC [S5].
Died on 24 Jan 1840 in Pickens Co SC.     IRA R. NICHOLSON PACK, 103
EQUITY

   Isaac Holden & Jane Holden his wife formelrly Jane Nicholson
sheweth that Ira R. Nicholson of Pickens District died, owning
considerable real eastate viz. Tract No. 1 The Chattooga old Town
tract containing 600 acres lying on Chattooga River in Pickens
District on the Georgia line. No. 2 containing 300 acres adjoining the
said tract No. 1. The lands are now subject to division amongst the
heirs of the said Ira R. Nicholson viz. his widow Jane Nicholson and
12 children to wit, Evan Nicholson, Mary Barker wife of Josiah Barker,
Sarah Loveless who married James Loveless, martha Nicholson who
married William Holden, Harriet Nicholson who married James Jackson
Pell, William Nicholson, Malinda Nicholson who married Mordecai Cox,
Mira Nicholson who married Jesse Lay, Silas Nicholson, James Loveless
and wife, William Holden and wife, William Nicholson, Mordicai Cox and
wife, Bailus Nicholson were all living in Georgia.
