JAMES G. G. Bayne & Sons, the latter managing the mill.  The firm does a flourishing business, and ships flour to all neighboring towns.  Mr. Bayne also has farming done, and buys cattle, mules and sheep.  His wife died July 1, 1878.  She was a dutiful wife, a wise mother, and a consistent Christian woman.  Eight children blessed this marriage, seven of whom are living.  The eldest child, William J., married Fanny Barnett, of Shelby County, and has three children: Charles, Mary and Mattie; he resides in Kansas City.  Sallie married D. W. Owens, formerly of Henry County, and they now live one mile from Bagdad on a beautiful Shelby County farm. Mattie married J. T. Moore, of Shelby, and has two children: Valeria and Mary.  James C. married Mary.  James C. married Mary Addams, of Cynthiana, Ky.  Lucy married William Barnett, of Shelby.  The other two sons, Samuel R. and Robert L. are not married.  James, Samuel and Robert are partners in the mill.
