Philippe Turpin, the niece who lodged in the household of Pierre Guedry
and Agnes Triel at the time ofSr de La Roque's census in 1752, must have
been a granddaughter of Jean Turpin and Catherine Bourg. Unfortunately,
the names of Philippe' s father and mother are unknown. It may be presumed
all the same that her father must have been one of the two sons reported in
the Widow Giroflee's household at the time of the 1717 census.
Biographical Note
18 July 1706: Jean Turpin "dit Jasmin," a sergeant at the fort, was the
godfather of Jean-Baptiste Guilbeau (Rg PR).
