the two Poiriers being from the family of Michel Poirier dit de France and
the two Caissies being great-grandchildren of Roger Caissie and Marie-
Franyoise Poirier, Michel Poirier dit de France would have been a first
cousin of Roger Caissie's wife Marie-Franyoise Poirier, and thus a nephew
of Jean Poirier of Port-Royal.1
