family is by far the most dispersed of all the families in these files. The Luhrsen
family spread out from Iroquois County at an earlier date and stayed away more
permanently, resulting in family spread from New England to the Southwest, from
Alaska to Venezuela, with one family apparently having settled in Australia.
One descendant has a spouse born in Iceland.
There are large numbers of this family still in the Midwest and the Upper Great
Plains, notably in Ohio, Indiana (both Allen and Adams County), Central Illinois,
