BUCKLEY - Helen L. Garrelts, 73, of Buckley, died Wednesday (July 2, 1997) at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley, and from noon Sunday until the 1 p.m. services at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, where she was a member. The Rev. Gunard Heikkila will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley. Pallbearers will be Ron and Donnie Knuth, Mason Rodgers, Eddie Cleary, Mike Dow and Barry Schlickman. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Garrelts.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Church, Loda Senior Citizens or a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born July 18, 1923 at Lake Dalton, Wis., the daughter of Paul and Alma Krumwiede Heimlich. Her parents are deceased.
She married Carl Knuth in 1940 at Buckley. He died in 1959.
Surviving are her second husband, Robert H. Garrelts, whom she married June 17, 1960 in Buckley; two daughters and four sons, Betty Cleary of Tempe, Ariz., Larry Knuth of Lake Iroquois, Loda, Donald Knuth and David Paul Garrelts, both of Loda, Robert H. Garrelts Jr. of Buckley and Linda Garrelts of Rantoul; 11 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and one brother, Willard Heimlich of Prairie du Sac, Wis.; and one niece.
For a number of years she was employed by Electronics and Switchcraft, both of Paxton, retiring from Switchcraft in 1984. She was a member of her church's Ladies Aide.

She was buried on 5 Jul 1997 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley, Illinois.19 Section C, Row 25, Plot 73C. She estate was probated on 18 Aug 1997 in Iroquois County, Illinois.462

Notice is given of the death of HELEN L. GARRELTS of R. R. #1, Buckley, IL 60918. Letters of office were issued to ROBERT H. GARRELTS, of R.R. #1, Buckley, IL 60918, whose attorney is MARTENSEN, ANDREW & NIEMANN, 140 North Taft Street, P.O. Box 146, Paxton, Illinois 60957.
Claims against the estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Court at the Iroquois County Courthouse, 550 South 10th Street, Watseka, Illinois 60970, or with the representative, or both, on or before the 24th day of February, 1998, and any claim not filed on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and his attorney within 10 days after it has been filed.
