She died on 21 Sep 1884 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.3 The funeral notice indicates that Dorothea Maria Krumwiede Helfers married Heinrich Helfers in Wenden. She was buried about 23 Sep 1884 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley, Illinois.30 Because of the discovery that, in the next row, the plot identified as "Mrs. Stege" is the burial place of Katherin Maria Buchholz Krumwiede Stege, mother of August and Henry Krumwiede, and Dorothea's marriage to FDH Helfers, according to Dorothea's funeral notice, took place in Wenden, an assumption is now being made that Dorothea Krumwiede Helfers is a younger sister of August and Henry, based on the known facts. She is therefore added to this family until and unless her identity is disproven at a later time.
