KRUMWIEDE was born on 13 Feb 1914 in Buckley, Iroquois County, Illinois.98 Lorenz' birth was registered
twice; once as Lawrence Fred and once as Lorenz Fred. He lived his entire life
until 1978 on "The Rupert Place, " where he was born in the house on
the Northwest Quadrant (the little shingle house), farming the land until he
moved to "The Duignan Place." His aunt, Laura Krumwiede Walwer, refers
to the move in a letter dated Oct 7, 1978. The land still, in 1997, is owned
by Viola Duignan Behrends. He died on 7 Jan 2004 in Paxton, Ford County, Illinois.296,435

Lorenz Krumwiede passed away on Wednesday evening, January 7. Visitation will
be on Friday, January 9 from 5-8 at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Buckley. Services
at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 10 at St. John's Buckley. Visitation one hour
prior to the service.

Funearl services for Lorenz F. Krumwiede, 89, of Buckley were held Saturday,
Jan. 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Buckley. Officiating was Rev. Mark J.
Haller. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Buckly.
Mr. Krumwiede died at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at Asta Care Center in
Paxton. He was born Feb. 13, 1914 to Louis and Emma DeLahr Krumwiede, in Buckley.
He married Ione Hasselbring on Sept. 28, 1938 in Buckley. She died in 1956.
Surviving are one son, Louis L. and Carol Krumwiede of rural Onarga; two grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Krumwiede was a retired farmer in rural Buckley, having farmed over 60
years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Buckley and was an avid
Buckley Dutchmasters and Cubs fan. He enjoyed dancing and being with his family.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Buckley, Carle Hospice
in Urbana or a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were made by Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Buckley.

Mrs. Ione Evelyn Krumwiede, 37, of near Buckley, dies
Mrs. Ione Evelyn Krumwiede, 37, of east of Buckley, died Monday about 9:30 p.m.
at the Paxton community hospital where she had been a patient since January 21.
She had been ill for several months.
Born October 28, 1918, at Claytonville, she was a daughter of the late Louis
and Anna Heinold Hasselbring and was married September 18, 1938 to Lorenz Krumwiede.
Surviving are the husband; a son, Louis, a student of the Buckley-Loda high school
freshman class; two sisters, Mrs. Lavine Smith and Mrs. Velma Axelson of Milford;
four stepbrothers, Lester and Wilbur Kogler of Cissna Park and Harold and William
Kogler of Chicago; a step-sister, Mrs. Gladys Kromer of Riverdale, and her step-mother,
Mrs. Christina Hasselbring.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Church in Buckley
with Rev. W. A. Eissfeldt officiating. Kelley Memorial Home was in charge with
burial in St. John's cemetery.
She died of Cancer of the spleen..437
