GILMAN - Visitation for Robert D. ''Bob'' Sinn, 58, of rural Gilman, formerly
of Piper City, will be from 3-8 p.m. today at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman,
and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at St. Paul Lutheran Church,
Gilman, where he was a member. The Rev. Robert Downs will officiate.
Burial will be in Gilman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gilman,
or to his family.
Mr. Sinn died Sunday (Aug. 29, 1999) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee,
after a short illness.
Mr. Sinn was the Douglas Township Highway Commissioner for 20 years.
Mr. Sinn operated a milk route in the Potomac and Cissna Park areas at one time
and helped area farmers.
Mr. Sinn had worked at various fertilizer companies in the area and was past
partner in the Thawville Cobb Company.
He was born June 10, 1941, in Paxton, the son of Robert C. and Gladys King Sinn.
His father is deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Hatton, whom he married Jan. 20, 1973,
in Melvin; one daughter, Teresa Sinn of Onarga; one son, Robert F. Sinn of Champaign;
his mother of Paxton; three sisters, Mary Ann Landrus of Paxton, Marsha Smith
of Rankin, and Karen Tschosik of Roberts; one brother, Kenneth Sinn of Melvin;
and one granddaughter.
Deceased is one brother, Charles.
He was a graduate of Roberts- Thawville High School.
He was active in his church and past member of St. Paul Church Council.
For many years he was a member and past president of the Lions Club in Piper
City and Gilman.
He was a member of the East Central Highway Commissioner Association.
He enjoyed tractor pulls and antique farm shows. This record was modified on

Gilman -- Visitation for Carol Sue Sinn, 62, of rural Gilman, will be from 4-8

St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gilman, until the 11 a.m. services. Rev. Robert Downs
will officiate.
Burial will be in Gilman Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
She died Monday (Nov. 14, 2005) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion, following an
extended illness.
Mrs. Sinn was a school bus driver for 25 years for the Iroquois West School District.
She was born Oct. 16, 1943, in Bloomington, the daughter of Ford and Annabel
Brachman Hatton. She attended and graduated from schools in the Melvin-Sibley
area. Her husband, Robert D. "Bob" Sinn, whom she married Jan. 20,
1973, in Melvin, died Aug. 29, 1999. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church
in Gilman, where she was active as a L.Y.O. sponsor, Sunday school superintendent
and on the Worship Team. She was involved in the Gilman Food Pantry, the P.T.S.A.
at Iroquois West and the P.T.S.A. carnival. She also provided puppet shows for
organizations and community events. She enjoyed reading and visiting.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Nick Bilotto of Gilman;
one son, Robert (Shelly Ozburn) Sinn of rural Gilman; one granddaughter; three
sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and John Pfeffer of Champaign, Beverly
and Ben Maurer of Pearl, and Sister Linda Hatton of Williams Bay, Wis.; mother-in-law,
Gladys Sinn of Paxton; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and
great-nephews.
