BUCKLEY -- Clifford F. Hilgendorf, 75, Buckley, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 1989, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1913, in Buckley, to Martin and Verona Ditman Hilgendorf. He married Mildred Wagner Jan. 16, 1938, in Buckley. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters: Jane Ann Johnson, Paxton, Nancy Louise Jordon, Houston, Texas, and Donna Marie Prahl, Buckley; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Gronewalt and Verna Johnson, both of Buckley.
Mr. Hilgendorf attended Buckley schools. He farmed for 10 years in the Buckley area retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, where he served as an elder and on the finance committee. He was also a member of the Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford Baier Funeral Home, Buckley.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mildred Hilgendorf
BUCKLEY -- Mildred M. Hilgendorf, 75, Buckley, died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 1990, at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, following a two week illness.
She was born July 21, 1914, in Buckley, to Louis and Louise Hogrefe Wagner. She married Clifford F. Hilgendorf Jan. 16, 1938 in Buckley. He died July 20, 1989.
Mrs. Hilgendorf is survived by three daughters; Jane Ann Johnson, Paxton, Nancy Louise Jordan, Texas, and Donna Marie Prahl of Buckley; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; Esther Hest of Paxton, Florence Hilt of Hudson, and Dorene Tiarks of Cissna Park; and one brother, Alfred Wagner of Loda.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Mrs. Hilgendorf attended Buckley rural schools and St. John's Lutheran School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and the Flying Needle Sewing Club of Buckley.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Robert W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley, and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
