PAXTON - Edna S. Hilgendorf, 91, of Paxton, formerly of Loda, died at 9:45 p.m.
Sunday (Sept. 2, 2001) at Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, 406
E. Pells St., Paxton. The Rev. John Hauck will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

PAXTON - Edna S. Hilgendorf, 91, of Paxton, formerly of Loda, died Sunday (Sept.
2, 2001) at Ford County Nursing Home, Paxton, where she had been a resident for
the past 11 1/2 years.
Services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton. Rev.
John Hauck officiated.
Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Memorials may be made to the Loda United Methodist Church or to a charity of
the donor's choice.
She was born Nov. 4, 1909, in Buckley, the daughter of August and Emma Hinrichs
Hilgendorf.
Her husband, Frank J. Hilgendorf, whom she married Sept. 23, 1928, in Buckley,
died Jan. 3, 1987.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Margaret Hilgendorf, James
and Betty Hilgendorf, all of Loda; one daughter, Janet Lindauer of Paxton; 13
grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 11 great- great-grandchildren; and one
stepbrother, Clarence Hilgendorf of Waupaca, Wis.
One son, who died in infancy; two grandsons; one brother; and one sister, are
deceased.
She was buried on 5 Sep 2001 in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda, Iroquois County,

Frank J. Hilgendorf, 78, of Loda died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 1987, at his
home. Funeral services were Monday at the Ford-Baier funeral home in Paxton,
Rev. Paul Walles officiated. Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Mr. Hilgendorf was born May 10, 1908, at Buckley, a son of Henry and Louise Martens
Hilgendorf. He married Edna S. Hilgendorf on Sept. 23, 1928, at Buckley. She
survives. Other survivors include two sons, Roy E. Hilgendorf and James W. Hilgendorf,
both of Loda; a daughter Janet Lindauer of Loda; a brother, Harry Hilgendorf
of Monticello; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two grandsons, a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Hilgendorf attended St. John's Lutheran school in Buckley. He had been a
farmer and was employed by the France Broom Co. at Paxton for 27 years, retiring
in 1971. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
