Edward F. Hilgendorf, 81, of Buckley, Illinois died Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Paxton Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Buckley with the Rev. James E. Brammeier officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Buckley. Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at Ford Baier Funeral Home in Buckley.

He was born September 24, 1896, in rural Buckley, the son of Fred and Sophie Krumwiede Hilgendorf. He attended schools in the rural Buckley area and lived there all of his life. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Buckley and was a retired railroad man.
He was married to Laura Hogrefe on January 4, 1921 in Buckley and she survives along with two daughters, Irene Luhrsen and Viola Sheetz, both of Buckley, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Carl of Jackson, Missouri, and Arthur of Donovan, Illinois, five sisters and four brothers preceded him in death and also his parents.

Laura E. Hilgendorf, 82, Buckley, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 1982, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1900 at Buckley to Henry and Louise Ahlden Hogrefe. She married Edward F. Hilgendorf on Jan. 4, 1921 at Buckley. He is deceased.
Two daughters, Irene Luhrsen and Viola Sheetz, both of Buckley, survive, along with one son, Marlin of Buckley; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
One son, seven brothers and five sisters are deceased.
She attended St. John Lutheran School, and was a member of St. John's Church and its Ladies Aid.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. William Allshouse will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley.

Herbert L. Hilgendorf, 49, Buckley, was pronounced dead on arrival at Paxton Community Hospital, Wednesday evening, April 16.
He was born May 31, 1930, at Buckley to Edward and Laura Hogrefe Hilgendorf.
Surviving are his mother, sisters Irene Luhrsen and Viola Scheetz and a brother, Marlin, all of Buckley. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Hilgendorf was employed as a general maintenance man at Big Wheels. He attended St. John's Lutheran School in Buckley and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #432.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Buckley with the Rev. James Brammeier officiating. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Buckley Legion Post. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
