FRED C. "FRITZ" KRUMWIEDE

Frederick C. "Fritz" Krumwiede, 93 of Beardstown, IL; a former Paxton-Buckley resident died at 4:42 P.M. Sunday, November 5, 2006, at the Heritage Manor South, Beardstown, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 9, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, IL with Rev. Mark J. Haller officiating. Burial will follow in St.John's Cemetery, Buckley, IL.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.m. at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley, IL and at the church Wednesday one hour before the service.

Mr. Krumwiede was born October 18, 1913 in rural Buckley, the son of Henry C. and Minnie Sprehe Krumwiede. He married Marie A. Eshleman December 29, 1935 at Buckley. She died August 28, 1994.

Surviving are one son, Erwin C. (Shirley) Krumwiede of Beardstown, three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lisa) Krumwiede of Carrollton, Dawn (Troy) Campbell of Bristol, England, Timothy Krumwiede of Pittsfield; six great grandchildren, Joshua Krumwiede, Hannah Krumwiede, Tanner Krumwiede, Meaghann Campbell, Trevor Campbell and Willow Krumwiede. He was preceded in death by his parents, ten brothers and six sisters.

Mr. Krumwiede attended St. John's Lutheran School. He farmed in the Buckley-Paxton areas over 40 years and worked at the DelRey Farmers Grain Elevator 15 years. He moved to Paxton in 1953 where he lived for 24 years; then moved to DelRey for 18 years, back to Buckley in 1995 and to Beardstown in 2002 to be near his son and family. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley where he sang in the men's choir; he also served on the finance committee and was elder of the church. Fred "Fritz" loved the Lutheran church and enjoyed all the activities, especialy the sports programs of St. John's and Christ Lutheran at Buckley. He also was a great fan of the Buckley Dutchmasters and Chicago Cubs. Upon moving to Beardstown he immediately became very involved with Tiger Athletics as well as watching his grandson coach at Carrollton, IL and his great grandsons play baseball and basketball. He enjoyed playing cards but his greatest love was his Lord, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 12 at 6:00 P.M. at Heritage South Chapel in Beardstown.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church and School, Christ Lutheran High School of Buckley, Heritage Manor South/Evergreen Place Activity Club of Beardstown or a charity of the donor's choice.

Frederick Carl (Fritz) KRUMWIEDE and Marie ESHLEMAN were married on 29 Dec 1935.50,53 Marie ESHLEMAN (daughter of John Henry ESHLEMAN and Mabel LEE) was born on 8 Oct 1913 in Gilman, Illinois.280 Her obituary gives her place of birth as "rural Thawville." Either designation would be correct, given the fact that the area is simply thought of as being part of a different community with the passage of time. She died on 28 Aug 1994 in Clifton, Illinois.50,281

Marie Krumwiede
THAWVILLE -- Marie A. Krumwiede, 80, of R.R. 1, Thawville (Del Rey - I believe she lived out her last few years in the same house in which she was born or next door to it, both buildings having belonged to her parents), formerly of the Paxton (Perdueville) and Buckley (between the Rupert Place and the Hull Place) areas, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994, at Central Community Hospital, Clifton. She had been in ill health for about a year (actually, much longer than one year).
Her funeral was Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, the Rev. Gunard Heikkila officiated. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley, and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Krumwiede was born Oct. 8, 1913, in rural Thawville, a daughter of John H. and Mable Lee Eshleman. She married Frederick C. Krumwiede Dec. 29, 1935, at Buckley. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Erwin C. (Shirley), Beardstown; three grandchildren; Jeffrey Krumwiede, Alexander; Dawn Campbell, Honingon, England; and Timothy Krumwiede, Rock Port; and two great-grandchildren.
One sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.

She was buried on 31 Aug 1994 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley, Illinois.19,53 Section C, Row 16, Plot 42C This record was modified on 10 Aug 2001.
