WATSEKA -- Arno A. Krumwiede, 88, of Watseka, died Sunday (Oct. 13, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Woodworth, where he was a member. Rev. James Ritter will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Woodworth.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Arrangements are by the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Mr. Krumwiede had farmed in the Buckley-Onarga area.
He was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Buckley, the son of F.P. and Lillie Kaufmann Krumwiede.
Surviving are his wife, the former Betty E. Corbly, whom he married Sept. 28, 1940, in Buckley, of Watseka; three daughters and one son-in-law, Delores and Roger Hasselbring of Cissna Park, Jean Hines and Melody Trumble, both of Watseka; one brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Ruth Krumwiede of Clinton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marvel Anderson of North Hills, Calif., Violet and George Weller of Atascadero, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Lois Krumwiede of Buckley; five nieces and seven nephews; 10 great-nieces and 10 great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Myron, Glenn, Delmar and an infant; one son-in-law, Charles Hines; and two grandsons, are deceased.
Mr. Krumwiede was a member of the church dart-ball team, the church Men's Club and the Farm Bureau. He was currently the chairman of the Iroquois County Senior Citizens.
He was a former church board member and a former board member of St. John's Lutheran School in Buckley.
Mr. Krumwiede played for the Dutchmasters and Farm Bureau 35'ers ball teams.
He was an avid Cubs fan and loved playing cards, hunting and fishing.

She was a member of the Ladies Aid at her church; AARP; Crescent City Senior Citizens; Iroquois County Fair Board; Birthday Club; Home Bureau; Hobby Club; and the Flying Needle Club. She was a former 4-H leader. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Delores and Roger Hasselbring of Cissna Park, Jean Hines of Naperville; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
