27. George Henry
KRUMWIEDE was born on 1 Jan 1875.34,50,53
He was baptized on 1 Feb 1875 in St. John's Lutheran Church (LCMS), Buckley,
Illinois.34 He was in the
news in 1895.
Sept. 20, 1895 -- Geo. Krumwiede, we hear, is sick and tired of Minnesota and
on his way home. We welcome your return, as did the father of the prodigal son.
(I have assigned this note to George Henry Krumwiede for several reasons: He
is old enough (age 20) as of this writing to have gone on to Minnesota on his
own; The editor of the newspaper is very careful with names and refers to George
A. Krumwiede as exactly that when he writes about him; Though George A. also
went to Minnesota, I believe, he did so when his parents went in 1900; Geo. A.
is mentioned in an issue of the Chronicle that appears between this one and the
one following.)
Nov. 25, 1895 -- Geo. Krumwiede, another of the party of young men that set out
for Minnesota last July, returned last Thursday night. Thus they all gradually
return to this fold and we are glad of it. The trip evidently did him a heap
of good, as he gained 25 pounds of avoirdupois. He died on 5 Nov 1956 in Kankakee,
Illinois.119

Section A, Row 12A, Plot 61 This might be the George Krumwiede mentioned in
the following blurb from the Buckley Chroncle, 20 Sep. 1895. "Geo. Krumwiede,
we heaer, is sick and tired of Minnesota and on his way home. We welcome your
return, as did the father of the prodigal son." The father of George August
Krumwiede should have still been in Minnesota himself at this time. George
Henry KRUMWIEDE and Carolina Minna WEISENBARN were married on 13 Dec 1899.50,53,61 The church record reads: "13
Dec: August Krumwiede to Caroline Weisenbarn by Blanken." I believe Pastor
Blanken mistakenly wrote the name of the groom's father rather than the name
of the groom. Carolina Minna WEISENBARN (daughter
of Peter WEISENBARN and Mary JUERGENS) was born on 24 Mar 1880 in Elistown, Illinois.10,50,120 She died on 13 May 1969 in
