Funeral Saturday at Buckley for Wilhelmina Tholen
Mrs. Wilhelmina Tholen, 62, died at her home in Buckley early Wednesday morning
after an illness of several weeks.
The deceased was born Oct. 25, 1884 at Buckley, the daughter of Henry and Carolina
Krumwiede, and has been a lifelong resident of the community.
On Dec. 20. 1914, she was married to George Tholen, who survives. Three children
survive; George Jr., Onarga; Edwin, at home, and Mrs. Esther Eheart, Onarga.
One daughter, Erma, preceded her in death.
Also surviving are eight brothers; Louis, Martin, Henry, Herman, Fred and George
Krumwiede, all of Buckley; Adolph, Cissna Park, and Carl, Onarga. Six sisters:
Mrs. Hilda Eckoff, Mrs. Caroline Seggebruch and Mrs. Rose Weber, Onarga; Mrs.
Lydia Teske, Buckley; Mrs. Alma Heimlich, Baraboo, Wis., and Mrs. Laura Walwer,
Peoria. Three brothers, Emil, Edward and Ernst are deceased.
The deceased was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church at Buckley. Funeral
services will be held at the home Saturday at 1 p.m. and at St. John's Lutheran
church, Buckley at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E.M. Goltermann officiating. Burial will
be made at St. John's cemetery, Buckley.
She was buried about 21 Sep 1946 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley,
