Linda Sparks Starr March 2003 278 This Indenture made & entered into this first day of January Eighteen Hundred & thirty Eight betwene John Wilkerson & Editha Wilkerson his wife formerly Editha Nunnly of the first part & William Nunly of the Second part witnesseth - That for & in consideratiton of said William Nunnley transferring a plot & certificate of one hundred and thirty acres on Collins River adjoining the land of William Martin the Said John Wilkerson & Editha Wilkerson have by these presents bargained & sold aliened & conveyed unto the Said William Nunly undevided interest in and to five certain tracts of land lying & being in Warren County the first containing 50 acres granted to Archabald Nunly by grant No 6381 by the State of Tennessee the Second containing ten acres granted by the State to Archelus Nunly by grant NNo 18905 the third containing 100 acres granted to the Said Archels Nunly by grant No 2488 the fourth granted to Said A Nunley by grant No 2487 containing 100 acres the fifth containing fifty acres devised by Johnson Carter to Said Archelaus Nunley all of said tract on the waters of Dry Creak which individed interest have conveyed come to the said Edith Wilkerson by inheritance from her father To have & to hold to the said William Nunley & his heirs for ever and we the said John Wilkerson & Editha Wilkerson do covenent for ourselves our heirs & representatives to warrant and defend the title to our undeveded interest in said land against any claim to be maid by us or any person claiming through or under us but no further Witness our hands & Seals this day & date above written.
