This Indenture made this 7th Day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and ninety Three Between Nathaniel Logan and Judith his wife of the County of Lincoln and State of Kentucky of the one part and Lewis Potter of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesses that the said Nathaniel [p, 186] Logan and Judith his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Current money of Kentucky to him in full paid by the said Lewis Potter the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. He the said Nathaniel Logan & Judith his wife heath (sic) granted Bargained sold aluded & Confirmed I do by the these presents grant Bargain sell, alude and confirm unto the said Lewis Potter a certain Tract or parcell of Land lying and being In the county of Lincoln on the south side of Logan's Creek and is Bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a white Oak and Hickery on Nathaniel Logan's old line thence with said line South 30 [degrees] & 40 Poles to two white Oaks Logans old Corner thence with Logan's old line N. 60 E 11 Poles to a white Oak & 1 Black walnut Logan's Corner thence N. 30 W 26 poles to a white Oak and Elm, thence with the meanders of a branch to the main branch crossing said branch thence with the meanders of another small branch to the Begining (sic) being a part of Nathaniel Logans Settlement and Preemption Land Containing twenty acres more or less & all the Rights Title Claim & Demand of him the said Nathaniel Logan & Judith his wife of in and to the said Land and premises Bargained and Sold to him the said Lewis Potter To have and to hold the said Land and premises hereby Bargained and sold with the appurtenances to him the said [p. 187] Lewis Potter his Heirs Executors and assigns Forever and he the said Nathaniel Logan & Judith his wife Doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said Lewis Potter that the said Nathaniel Logan & Judith his wife theire (sic) Heirs Executors and Assigns shall warrant and forever Defend the said Land and premises with the appurtenances hereby bargained and sold to him the said Lewis Potter his Heirs Executors administrators and assigns against the Claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said Nathaniel Logan and Judith his wife hath hereunto set their Hands and Sail (sic) the Day and year above Written. Ex & std to Lewis Potter Teste Willis Green CLCC -------------- Lincoln County, Kentucky Deed Book D, page 179 This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred between Lewis Potter of the County of Warren and State of Kentucky of the one part & John Hammond of the County of Lincoln & state afsd of the other part. Witnesseth that the Said Lewis Potter for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and Seven pounds ten Shillings current money of Kentucky to him in hand paid by the Said John Hammond the receit (sic) whereof is hereby acknowledged he the Said Lewis Potter hath granted bargained and Sold and Confirmed and do by these presents Grant Bargain Sell alude and Confirm unto the Said John Hammond a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Lincoln on the South side of Logans Creek and is bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a white oak and hickory on Nathaniel Logans old line thence with Said Line South 30 E 40 poles to two white oaks Logans old Corner thence North 60 E 16 poles to two Elms thence S40 E26 poles to the mouth of a small Branch to a walnut & Elm thence with the meanders of the branch 50 poles to a Black oak & ash thence South 48 E 66 poles to two post oaks thence N34 E 108 poles to a white oak thence N5 E56 poles to a double Crab tree thence South 60 W128 poles to a walnut & white oak thence N30 West 28 poles to a white oake and Elm thence with the meanders of a branch to the main branch Crosing (sic) the Said Branch thence with the meanders [p. 179] of another Small Branch to the Beginning Containing Ninety-five acres by Survey be the Same more or less and all the estate rite (sic) title intrust & Claim of the said Lewis Potter in and to Said Land & premises hereby Sold with all the appurtenances to him the said John Hammond his Heirs or assigns forever and the Said Lewis Potter doth covenant and agree to and with the said John Hammond that he the said Lewis Potter his heirs executors and administrators shall warrant & forever defend sd land & premises hereby bargained and sold to him the said John Hammond his Heirs Executors & Administrators against all every other person or persons whomsoever in witness whereof the said Lewis Potter hath set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
