(1)  Simon Hoyt, born 20 January 1590, Somerset, England. He came to America in 1628. He lived at Dorchester, Scituate and Charlestown, Massachusetts, and at Windsor and Stamford, Connecticut. He married first before 1617 in Marshwood, Dorset, England, Jane Stoodlie.  He married after 1625 Susannah, died 1674.

Walter Hoyt, baptized November 1618 in West Hatch, Somersetshire, England, died 1698 or 1699 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut; married second about 1652 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut, Rhoda Tinker, baptized June 1611 in New Windsor, Berkshire, England, died November 1694 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, daughter of Robert Tinker and Mary Merwin.  Parents of:
1. Zerubbabel Hoyt, born about 1652 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, died January 1738 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut; married first an unknown wife, perhaps Hannah; married second about May 1720 at Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, Mehitable Rockwell, widow of John Keeler.  Zerubbabel and his first wife were parents of:
1. Hannah Hoyt, born 1685 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, died about 1740 in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., Connecticut; married July 1704 in Norwalk, Joseph Whitney.

1. Joshua Hait, born about 1641 in Stamford, Connecticut, died 1690; married before 1664 Mary Bell, born 1646, died 1724. Parents of:
1. Joshua Hait, born 4 October 1670, died 1744/1745. He lived in Stamford and Stratford, Connecticut. On 16 March 1698 he married Mary Picket, died 10 November 1732, daughter of John Picket and his wife Mary Crosse, died 1687, who he married 19 January 1672/1673. Parents of:
1. James Hait, died probably after 1784; married Mary Waterbury, born 5 September 1731.  Parents of:
1. Martha Hait, born 30 January 1737/1738, died after 1790 in Warren, Connecticut; married 16 September 1753 William Stone, born 22 April 1729, died after 1790 in Warren, Connecticut.
