Victor W. Hackworth, Sr.

Victor was born and died in Brenham, Texas, but had a long, eventful life in between those dates. He married Gertrude Tate Ralston, and they had five children, Victor, Jr., Jonnie Mae, Iradean, Betty and Editha. He worked in the Brenham Post Office where his father had been postmaster, but moved the family to Dallas where he became an oilman. At one time he was owner of Hackworth Oil Exchange.

He later lived with Jonnie Mae in Brenham, where he died in 1951.
