Cashion CD Invitation

Invitation to participate

The CASHION (CASHIN, CASHON, CASON, CASHEN, CASHONE) family is a very large one, and we are fortunate to have had many family history researchers. We are indebted to those who came before us Ð those who documented the births, deaths, marriages and migrations of their ancestors. As they, then, kept a record of the same for their generation, we would like to acknowledge their efforts and make our contribution to the documentation of our shared Cashion heritage.

We invite all CASHION researchers to share in this work with us. To augment this genealogy, we will present our familiesÕ documented histories by publishing extensive source materials such as census records, reproductions of wills, deeds, certificates, photos, obituaries, diary entries, letters, war records, tax rolls, maps and more. Wherever possible, we will provide both a transcription of these documents and the digital image. In this way you can best make your own determinations as to spelling and content.

This will be a collaborative effort and all CASHION descendants are encouraged to contribute their family group sheets, research, etc. Ð with sources cited. As stated before, all contributors will be acknowledged in the published work where their contributions appear. Be assured that established genealogical standards will be upheld. All copyrights will be acknowledged and only materials in the public domain and those for which permission to use is properly given will be published in this work. We will include an extensive bibliography as part of this research tool and welcome your suggestions of sources to be included in this listing.

This is a not-for-profit endeavor. All contributors will be able to purchase the published materials at cost and any profits realized through sales to non-contributors will be donated to Rootsweb.

Please forward this invitation to those family members who do not use a computer. This is a wonderful opportunity to interview older family members, gather information and request copies of source documents in their possession.

We look forward to working with you as we share this exciting journey together.
