Last Will and Testament, 1812
LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF SETH SNOW
In the name of God Amen. I SETH SNOW 1st of the town of Augusta County
of Oneida & State of New York being advanced in years & infirm
in body but enjoying my perfect Judgment & all my mental faculties,
blessed be Almighty God for the [?] to make & publish this my last
will & testament
in the manner & form following (viz.) First I do give & bequeath
my Sons SIMEON SNOW, SETH SNOW JR &
JONATHAN SNOW & my daughter HULDAH, the wife of JONATHAN SNOW, SALLY
the wife of JOSHAUS RICHMOND & BETHIA the wife of ASAPH LARABEE the
sum of one Dollar and I do also will & bequeath my granddaughter BETSEY
LARABEE (child) one cow & my grandaughter PATTY RANKIN (child) two
cows & my
large bible, which several legacies it is my will & I hereby order
paid to the legatees at any time when required after the expiration of
one year after my desceas (sic). I do also give & bequeath to my daughter
SUSANNAH wife of MATTHEW RANKIN the remainder of my estate personal &
real Stock, Goods, Chattels of what ever name or nature. And I do also
appoint, the last named persons MATTHEW RANKIN & SUSANNAH RANKIN Sole
Executor & executrix of this my last will & testament, hereby
revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & seal this twentyeth day of January in the year of our
Lord one
thousand eight hundred twelve.
Signed, sealed, published & [?] by
the above named SETH SNOW to be Mark
his last will & testament in the presance Seth X Snow
of us who have hereunto subscribed our
names as witnesses of the presence of the
testator.

I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of the Original will of SETH
SNOW as the same was proven by the subscribing witnesses thereto before
me this 7th day of July 1812. Joshua Hathaway Junior
I further certify that on the seventh day of July one thousand eight
hundred and twelve came before me Isaac Chadwick & Jairus Ranken,
two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will & being duly
sworn [?] & say that they saw the testator to the.....
