Last Will and Testament, 1917

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

JOHN SCHANEY - LATE OF - MARION TOWNSHIP REGISTERED DECEMBER 20, 1917.

In the name of God, Amen, I John Schaney of Marion Township County of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind and memory do hereby make, publish, and declare, this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following: hereby revoking any will or wills heretofore made by me.

First, I direct all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease:

1st I give devise and bequeath unto my oldest daughter Caroline one Hundred Dollars:

Second The remainder is to be equally divided among these whose names are as follows:

3,d. Mrs. Carolyn Ketterer, Mrs. Sadie Sahli, Mr. Jacob Schaney, Mr. Henry Schaney, Mr. Charley Schaney, Mr. Fred Schaney, Mr. George Schaney, Mr. Frank Schaney, Mr. Edward Schaney and Mr. Ruddy Schaney.

And I do nominate constitute and appoint Mr. Fred Ketterer executor of this my last will and testament, January 2,d A. D. 1917.

Signed, Sealed. published and declared by the above named John Schaney is and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto Subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereunto in the presence of the said name each, other:

E IT REMEMBERED, That on the 10th day of October A. D., 1917. Henry Young and Daniel C. Smith personally appeared before We, the Deputy Register for the Probate of Wills, etc, in and for said county, they being the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament of John: Schaney late of Marion Twp deceased, and after being duly sworn, according to law, did depose and say that they were present and saw the said testator sign the forgoing instrument of writing and heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and testament,. and. that at the time of his doing so the said testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of deponent's knowledge, observation and belief and that they signed the same as witnesses thereto at the request of the said testator.

AND NOW; The testimony of the above named witnesses being sufficient, I do hereby admit the foregoing Will to Probate, and order the same to be recorded as such.
