Ift, Anna; Estate Records -1886

Last Will and Testament Anna Ift Registered August 30 1886

I Anna Ift Widow, of New Sewickley Township Beaver County and State of Pennsylvania Being of sound mind memory and understanding Do hereby make and publish this My Last Will and Testament

First I constitute and appoint my son Jacob Ift to be the sole executor of this my will, I provide that my funeral and other expenses, and shall cause a grave stone to be erected over my grave which shall not cost less than seventy-five dollars, I give and bequeath unto the children of my daughter Margaret Deceased the sum of one hundred dollars this sum to remain in the hands of my Executor until my grandchildren become of full age,

I further direct that my Executor shall dispose of my personal Estate by public sale and shall collect all my outstanding money, and after a settlement is made, my Executor shall distribute my Estate as follows,

He shall pay to each of my children the sum of five hundred dollars my three grandchildren shall receive as much as their Mother my daughter Margaret would have received if she was living, but my grandchildren's share shall remain in the hands of my Executor and shall be put in interest, until my said children respectively come of age, the remainder of my money shall be equally distributed among all my children or their heirs, inclusive of my stepson Peter Ift.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty three in presence of us

Be it remembered That on the 30th day of August A.D. 1886. F. Zehner and Adam Mickly Personally appeared before me, the Register for the probate of Wills in and for said County They bring the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament of Anna Ift late of New Sewickley Township deceased, and after being duly sworn, according to law, did depose and say that they were present and saw the said Anna Ift sign the foregoing instrument of writing by making her mark, she could n write her name, never having learned to do so. and heard her publish announce and declare the same to be her last Will and Testament, and at the time of her so doing the Testatrix was of sound and disposing mind. Memory and understanding, to the b of deponents knowledge, observations and belief and that they signed the same as witnesses thereto at the request of the said Testatrix. And now, the testimony of the above named witnesses being sufficient, I do hereby admit the foregoing will to Probate, and entered the same to be recorded as such.

Personally came before me, William H. Bricker Register of Wills, etc, in and for the county of aforesaid, Jacob Ift applicant for Letter Testamentary upon the estate of Anna Ift late of New Sewickley Township deceased, and upon his solemn oath did declare and say that the said Anna Ift died on the 28th day of August A.D. 1886 at 9 p.m. to be best of his knowledge and belief.
Sworn and subscribed before me, this 31st day of August A.D. 1886

And now, to wit: Aug. 31 1886. An instrument of writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Anna Ift late of New Sewickly Township, Beaver County, PA. deceased is presented in this office for probate. Whereupon, the testimony as to the execution of said will was taken by the oaths of F. Zahner and Adam Mickley, they being the subscribing witnesses thereto, and do adjudge the proof sufficient, thereof, and that at the time said will was executed the testatrix was of sound and disposing mind. Memory and understanding . to the best of dependants knowledge, observation, and belief, Whereupon, said will, was admitted to probate and ordered to be registered.

And now, to wit on the same date viz August 31st 1886, Jacob Ift the person named in said will as the Executor thereof, applying for Letters Testamentary thereon, after having been duly sworn as such Executor, I have granted him said letters in due form of law,
