George Schini (1811-1891) - Schaney/Schoene/Schini Family History Project The Schaney-Schoene Family History Project

George Schini (1811-1891)

was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States about 1831-33. In 1838 "George Schenie of the City of Pittsburg" purchased from George Jacob Ketterer, lot No. 56 in "Bradens district of Depreciation lands," now Marion Twp., Beaver County, PA.

In the 1850 Federal Census Marion Twp, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, living next door to Philip Brandenberger, on the other side of that property lived Jacob Schaney. I have yet to make a definite connection between the two families but it my belief that there was a relation, possibly John and George were brothers.

He married sometime before 1836 Catharine Zimeler (? daughter of Conrad Zimeler, who was living in the household in 1850-1870 census). They are buried at St. John's (Burry's) Church Cemetary, New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, PA.

Children of George and Catharine are:
Catharine, Jacob, Caroline, Elizabeth, George and Amelia.
