Four of his children were mentioned in the will. The Bushnell Family Genealogy (1945), on page 14, contains the following information on William: William Busshenell, Husbandman, of Tilehurst, Co. Berks, England,
d. abt. 1564, probabally a son of Joan ( ) Busshenell, styled widow in
Subsidy Roll dated 15 Jan. 1524, of Tilehurst, wife not mentioned in will
dated 31 Aug. 1563, proved 15 Apr. 1564, rec. Archd. Berks, E-312. In
his will he expressed his desire to be buried in Tylehurst churchyard,
and bequeathed to son John, a cow, a brass pot, a kettle, and one-half
his tools; son William a bullock, a sheep, an old pan, and one-half his
tools; dau. Alice, a cow, a pot, and a kettle; dau. Joan, two bullocks,
a heifer, a kettle, and a gown; servent Joan Pinke a petticoat cloth and
as much wool as will make her a pair of hosen. Resid. Leg. were his ch.
John, Alice, and Joan, William's children are: John Bushnell (Abt. 1500 - Aft. 1585) was born about 1500 in Tilehurst, Berkshire County, England, and died sometime after October 20, 1585 in Tilehurst, Berkshire Co.
