THIRD GENERATION

THIRD GENERATION

49. Mary Lois PRATT was born in Mar 1883/84. She died UNKNOWN. Among the Lambert family it is said she ran away with another man and died in St. Louis, Missouri or New Orleans, Louisiana. Interestingly, there is a St. Louis Cemetery in New Orleans. No record of Lois Pratt has been found except her marriage papers to John Richard Lambeth.

She was married to John Richard LAMBETH on 23 Dec 1900 in Pocahontas, Randolph, Arkansas.(2) Page 378, Marriage book 12

John Lambeth of Pocahontas aged 22 and Miss Lois Pratt of Pocahontas aged 17 were married on 22 December 1900 by Geo. Campbell JP.

Security was Sam A. Standeford. John Richard LAMBETH was born on 19 Nov 1880 in DuBois, Washington, Illinois. The place of birth is according to a certificate John Richard had made while an adult. The facts were verified by his daughter, who, of course, could not have been present at the time. Therefore, I'm still searching for proof his parents lived in Washington Co., IL, at the time of his birth. He died in Nov 1961 in Hutchinson, Independence, Arkansas. He died on 14 Jan 1962 in Arkansas.(3) John Richard insisted his last name was Lambeth. His older brother began to use Lambert, and John Richard and his descendants followed suit. All today use Lambert. Mary Lois PRATT and John Richard LAMBETH had the following children:

child152 i. "Little Buddy" LAMBERT(4) was born in 1901 in Pocahontas, Randolph, Arkansas, probably. He died in 1901 in Pocahontas, Randolph, Arkansas, probably. My dad, Elby Lambert, remembers hearing about "Little Buddy", perhaps named after Samuel David "Bud" Lambert. Little Buddy was born with amazingly long hair for a baby.
child153 ii. John Benjamin LAMBERT was born on 3 Aug 1902 in Pocahontas, Randolph, Arkansas. He died on 17 Nov 1975 in Attica, Randolph, Arkansas.
