10. Nancy GADDY was born about 1770 in Virginia. Her birthdate is a guess at this point. She died after 12 Nov 1826.

She was married to Willis LIGON about 1790. Willis LIGON signed a will on 12 Nov 1826 in Morgan Co., Georgia. (5) Transcription of the Will of Willis Liggon, by Rebecca Lambert, 12 February 2000.

Georgia Morgan County In the Name of God
Amen I Willis Liggon of the County & State aforesaid being
of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God, but weak in body
knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make & ordain
this to be my Last will & Testament in manner & form following first
commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it
and my Body to be buried in a decent Christian like manner at the dir-
ection of my Executors hereafter named and asTouching my worldly
affairs I give and dispose of them in the following manner and form
Item It is my wish and desire and I do give unto my beloved wife
Nancy Liggon during Natural Life all my Estate both real and
personal that I shall be possessed of hold or receive at my decease
__acipt, such as is herein after disposed of Item second Tis my wish that
my Executors shall as soon as practicable after my decease sellagin?
___ to ____ a Certain Negro woman named Mery to the best
__vantage for the purpose of enabling them to settle off all Just claims
applied against my Estate and Other incidental Expenses of said
Estate Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my son John Liggon
certain negro man Lewis to him and his heirs forever and
___ the tract of Lot of Land whereon I now Live in the 24th
District of Originally Baldwin then Morgan County Containing
___-hundred Two and one half acres at the death of my wife Nancy
Liggon unto ___ the said John Liggon his heirs and assigns
forever in fee Simple. Item Fourth It is my wish & desire that
___ the Balance and _____ of my property shall be equally
divided among my Four Children at the death of my wife Nancy
that is to say David Liggon, John Liggon, Elizar Hughey
and Nancy Hughey to the following property to wit Molly
a Negro woman Samy, Aaron, Jeff, Nerced, Solomon, Elliott
Caroline, Isbal, Lucy together with such other of my property
as is not otherwise disposed of to be applied in the manner aforesaid
and Clearly intended in the preceding Items--
Item 5th It is my wish and desire and I do give and bequeath unto
my Daughter Anna Elizar Hughey and to the heirs of her body the
following property to be kept in trust by my son David Liggon
for the use of my said Daugther Anna Elizar Hughey and the heirs
of her body for and during the natural life of my said Daughter
and at her death to be equal divided among the heirs of her body
that is to say One negro woman & child now in her possession
named Silvey Lewis together with the Share she may receive agreeable
in the fouth Item as aforesaid Item the Sixth tis my wish and desire
and I do give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy Hughey and
to the heirs of her body the following property to be kept in trust
by my son David Liggon for the use of my said Daughter and ___
her death the heirs of her body for and during the Natural Life
of my said Daughter and at her death to be equally divided among
the heirs of her body that is to say One Negro Girl by the name
Liza together with the Share she may receive agreeable in the fourth item
as aforesaid Lastly By this presents I nominate & appoint
David Liggon my son my Executor and Nancy Liggon my wife
my Executrix of this my Last Will & Testament revoking _____
all other and former wills and Testaments and declaring this and
no other to be my Only and True Will. In Confirmation whereof
I the said Willis Liggon have hereunto set my hand and seal in the
presence of attesting witnesses this 12th November 1826 S_____ unto pub____

in the presence of each Other have hereunto set our hands and witnesses
