This indenture made this nineteenth day of Feby {100 acres. see patent}
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Forty two between
Aaron Young + Margret his wife of the County of Marshall + state of Virginia
of the first part and Levin C. Kirkman of the county + state aforesaid
of the second part [witnesses?] that the said parties of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to
them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised released alien
and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and
assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situated on the [vales?]
of Lynn Camp in the county of Marshall and bounded and described as follows
to wit Beginning at a sugar tree in Strickers line thence with said line
S. 32. W. 203 poles to a poplar, thence S 72 E 80 poles to a locust thence
North 32 E. 197 poles to an oak, thence N 64. W. 78 poles to the beginning.
together with all the appertenances thereof and all the estate right title
and interest whatsoever of the said parties of the first part either in
law or Equity of in And to the above bargained premises with their appurtenances.
To have and to hold the said premises above described to the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use
benefit andbehalf of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever. And the same will forever warrant and Defend unto the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and any person
or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or pretending to claim [under?]
the said parties of the first part the whole or any part thereof.
In witness whereof the parties of the first part have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day and year first above written.

This indenture made this 25th day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty four between Levin C. Kirkman and
Mary Kirkman his wife of the county of Monroe in the State of Ohio, of
the first, and David Ruckman of the county of Marshall in the state of
Virginia of the second part; Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first
part, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred + twenty five
dollars in hand paid, by the said party of the second part, the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged, having granted, bargained, sold, [remised?],
released, aliened and confirmed; and by these presents, do grant, bargain,
sell, remise, release, alien and confirm unto the said party of the second
part;
and to his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land
situated on Lynn Camp in Marshall County VA. being the same land patented
to Aaron Young + supposed to contain one hundred acres, bounded as follows.
Beginning at a sugar tree Strick line, thence with said line S. 32. W 203.
to a poplar, thence S. 72 E. 80 P. to a locust, thence N. 32 E. 197 P.
to an oak, thence N. 64 W. 78 P. to the beginning. together with all the
appertinances thereof, and all the estate, right title and interest whatsoever,
of the said parties of the first part, either in law or Equity, of, in
and to the above bargained premises, with their appertenances. To have
and to hold the said premises above described, to the said party of the
second part, his heirs and assigns, to the sole and only proper use, benefit
and behalf of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever. and the same will forever Warrant and Defend unto the said party
of the second part, his heirsand assigns, against all and every person
or persons whomever, lawfully claing or pretending to claim, the whole
or any part thereof by from or under the said Levin C. Kirkman or his heirs
or assigns only. In witness whereof, the parties of the first part have

This Indenture made this fifteenth day of December in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight Between
Samuel Gates and Lucinda his wife, George Gates and Isabelah his wife and
Ezra Gates, John Cooper and Elizabeth his wife, Stephen Montgomery and
Barbary his wife, Stephen Workman and Margaret his wife of the County of
Marshall and State of Virginia and Levin C. Kirkman and Mary his wife of
Monroe County and State of Ohio of the first part and Nicholas Wykert of
the County of Marshall and State of Virginia of the second part. X [?]
the said Samuel Gate, George Gates, Ezra Gates, Elizabeth Cooper Barbary
Montgomery Margaret Workman and Mary Kirkman Being the heirs of Nicholas
Gates deceased. The said parties of the first part for and in Consideration
of the sum of seven hundred dollars to them in hand paid jointly the receipt
whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted Bargained and sold and by these
present doth grant bargain And sell to the said Nicholas Wykert his heirs
and assigns forever all their equal and undivided seven [?] part of two
tracts of land situated in Marshall County on Fish Creek it being the same
that was Conveyed to the said Nicholas Gates Dec. by Robert Wood and Elizabeth
his wife April 24th 1827. Containing thirty six + 1/2 acres Bounded as
followeth Beginning at an ash and Red Oak Corner to a survey made for Bryan
[Bruin?] and with a line of the same South one hundred and sevent
nine poles to a locust in Stricker's line, thence with the same South sixty
East forty seven poles to a stone in the line of Survey made for James
Madison, thence with said line North 180 poles to a Sugar tree Corner to
said Madison, thence North 23 1/2 West 104 poles to the Beginning to contain
36 1/2 acres. the other was conveyed to the said Nicholas Gates dec. by
William Bills + Martha his wife June 17th 1834 for fifty acres more or
less Bounded as foolows Beginning at a sugar tree below the mouth of [F?]abletree
run thence up said run to a sugartree in Madison's line thence with Madison's
line South 75 West 86 poles to a sugar tree corner thence South 100 poles
to a Sycamore on the bank of the Creek, thence up said creek with the meanders
thereof to the place Beginning Suspoused to contain fifty acres more or
less together with all and singular tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said Nicholas Wykert
his heirs and assigns forever and the said Samuel Gates and Lucinda his
wife, George Gates and Isabelah his wife, Ezra Gates, John Cooper and Elizabeth
his wife, Stephen Montgomery and Barbary his wife, Stephen Workman and
Margret his wife, Leven C. Kirkman and Mary his wife for [?] and their
heirs doth covenantand agree to and with said Nichols Wykert his heirs
and assigns forever each of the said parties their equal and undivided
ninth part in and to the said tracts of land described in said deed and
they do hereby jointly transfer and convey to the said Nicholas Wykert
his heirs and assigns forever a good suer perfect and indefensible state
of inheirtance in fee Simple for the even ninths of said two tracts of
land and that they have a good right and lawful authority to sell Convey
and assure the same to the said Nicholas Wykert his heirs and assigns forever
and further that they they said parties of the first part for themselves
their heirs and assigns do hereby transfer and convey every part and parcel
thereof together with the tenements [?] and apputtenances there unto belonging
or in anywise appertaining unto the said Nicholas Wykert his heirs and
assigns forever defend [?] testimony the said Samuel Gates + Lucinda his
wife, George Gates, Isabella his wife, Ezra Gates, John Cooper + Elizabeth
his wife, Stephen Montgomery + Barbary his wife, Stephen Workman + Margret
his wife and Levin C. Kirkman + Mary his wife have hereunto set their hands
and seals the day and year first before written.
