2. LOUISE E² EVERMAN (THEODORE E.¹) was born June 10, 1853 in Andover, and died July 14, 1920 in Dansville, NY, bur St. Michaels Cem Livonia, NY. She married HENRY SCHUSTER 1878 in Dansville, NY, son of GEORGE SCHUSTER and ANNA STEINHARDT.

Louis resided on the Schuster Farm in Sparta, moved to Livonia in 1911, with her husband.

Obituary

The funeral of Mrs Henry Schuster was held from the family home, east of this village, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with services at St. Joseph's church at 10:30. Delegations were present from Dansville, Cohocton, Perkinsville, Wayland and Rochester. The large number of relatives and friends attending was but mute evidence of the esteem in which the deceased was held. At the vestibule of the church the remains were met by priests and acolytes, and after a brief service the procession moved slowly down the aisle to the altar, where a solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by the pastor, the Rev. P.J. Smyth, assisted by the Rev. L. P. Hofschneider of Dansville, as deacon and the Rev. G. T. McCall as subdeacon. Albert Geiger of Rochester was master of ceremonies and John Lyons of Dansville was censer-bearer. After the mass the burial service was read by Father Smyth, assisted by Fathers Hofschneider and McCall. During the services the following-named occupied seats in the sanctuary: Rev. Sebastian Englerth of Greece, Rev. Ferdinand Scheid of Perkinsville, Rev. Michael Kreig of Brockport and Rev. F. G. Straub of St. Bernard's seminary, Rochester. At the conclusion of the services the body of Mrs Schuster was borne to its last resting place in the family plot in St. Michael's cemetery, accompanied by one of the largest funeral processions ever seen in this vacinity. At the grave the committal service was read by Father Smyth, assisted by Fathers Englerth, Kreig, McCall and Straub.

Mrs. Schuster was a member of the Christian Mothers society of Cohocton, and also of the Maccabees of Dansville. The bearers were Edward Dwyer, M.E. Kervin, John Kinney, Joseph Kuhn, James Minnehan and John Morrissey.

Mr. Theodore Everman of Sparta and Miss Anna Katherine Hubertus, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Hubertus, were married at St. Mar's Church at nine o'clock yesterday morning (Jan. 29) by Rev F. Rauber. The church was crowded to its utmost capacity by the young friends of the bridal couple. The day was as bright as anyone might wish and the occasion was all the more merry because of the fact of its being the twenty-third anniversary of the marriage of the bride's parents. the bride wore a dress of cream satin and carried a bouquet of hyasinths and ferns, her ornaments being diamond earrings, a gift from the groom. the bridesmaids were Miss Flortine Hubertus, sister of the bride, Miss Theresa Everman, sister of the groom, Miss Minnie Fisher of rochester, and Miss Louis Klink of Dansville. the young ladies were dressed in white brilliantine and carried pink and yellow tulips. the groomsmen were Mr. Albert Everman, Mr. Frank Blum, Mr. John Englert of Rochester and Mr. M. McTighe of Andover. Mr. Philip Blum and Mr. Frank Uhl acted as ushers.

At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party and the family friends were served with a delicious repast at the residence of Mr. Hubertus on Seward St, remaining until evening to bid. Mr. & Mrs. Everman God speed on their journey to New York. They took the evening train on the Lackawanna and will be absent a week or more. The bride was fortunate enough to be pleasantly remembered by her friends with gifts representing elegance and richness. Among them was a large bronze water picher of quaint design nearly two feet high, a large pictorial bible, a massive mirror decorated with roses, three very large engravings, three aken rockers, a silver coffee set from Mr. Frank Sahlick.

Mr. & Mrs. Everman will take up their residence in Andover on their return, and all who have the honor of their acquaintance will wish for them long life and prosperity in great measures.

Died at 34 years old - struck by lightning while sitting under a tree, near his residence, of Clancy Road, Sparta, NY.

An article in a Dansville papter stated William Schuster started after the cows one evening from the farm house in Saprta and was found died a few hours later near a wire fence. Death due to lightening.

George T. Schuster, Sr.

In early manhood, George was a farmer in the Perkinsville area and later operated a hotel in Cohocton. His parents moved to Livonia in 1911 and he joined them in 1915.

He eventually purchased a farm at the corner of Big Tree Rd. and East Ave., which he operated until the time of his death in 1963. George became a leading farmer and developed a large herd of holstein cows. Mrs. Schuster, the former Marie Kervin, continued to live in the family home and operate the farm for several years until transferring the home and acreage to her son, Vincent.

Schuster fields have uses, other than farming. One field served on occasion, as a landing field for barnstorming pilots. A baseball diamond was constructed on a different field to permit Sunday baseball, prohibited within village limits, and when football was introduced to Livonia High School in 1927, the first game was played on a Schuster field. Several horse shows were also held on Schuster fields.

Many Livonians who grew up in the 1920's and early 1930's will remember the fun, on wintry days of "catching bobsleds." it was always fun and a challenge to hitch a ride on a bobsled being drawn by George's spirited horses and ride to the outskirts of the village. Many will also remember that George used to contribute heads of cabbage to village youngsters for use in Halloween festivities.

Presented in Mr. Schuster's memory by his seven sons and daughters is "The Barn" by Eric Arthur and Dudley Witney. Beautifully illustrated and very informative, this memorial book will evoke a great feeling of nostalgia. Many types of barns are described and discussed including, circular and polygonal barns. Special attention is given to the Dutch barn, the English barn the Pennsylvania barn and several other regional types barns. In years to come and as old barns disappear from the landscape, this may well become a collector's item.

Miss Anna Marie Kervin and Mr.

George T. Schuster Married at St.

Joseph's-Reception Follows.

The wedding of Miss Anna Marie Kervin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs M E. Kervin, to Mr. George Theodore Schuster was solemnized by the Rev P. J. Smyth Wednesday morning in St. Joseph's church. Miss Angela Schuster, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and William Kervin brother of the bride, was best man. The bride was given in marriage by her father. William Vogt and Vincent Smith acted as ushers.

The bride was attired in a blonde satin gown with hat to match and carried a bouquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor wore henna satin and carried yellow chrysanthemums.

A wedding breakfast was served to relatives and friends of the couple after the ceremony. Covers were laid for fourteen at the bride's table, which was tastefully decorated with yellow chrysantheumums, the color scheme being yellow and white throughout the house. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Schuster left for a short wedding trip, after which they will reside in their 'new home' at the corner of Big Tree Street and East Avenue.

Mrs Schuster is a graduate of Geneseo normal and has taught in Livonia high school for several years. Mr. Schuster is a prominent young farmer of Livonia.

Pre-nuptial events included a party given by Miss Marian Smith and a variety shower given by Miss Ann Snyder. Out-of-town guests attending the wedding were from Dansville, Rochester, Wayland and Cohocton.
