Agnes Wildes Bowen was the 5th child, eldest and only surviving daughter, b. October 8, 1865, Saturday at noon at 2105 West DeLancey Place, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Particulars from her father's manuscript account of the Bowen family) Her official birth certificate in Philadelphia records gives her middle name as "Wilkes" which is a clerical error for "Wildes", her mother's maiden surname. She was named for her mother's aunt by marriage, Agnes Woods (Henry) Wildes, wife of George Wildes (1798-1861), a brother of Tilton Wildes. She is living, 1928, in Washington, District of Columbia. Had four children, all sons, three of whom died under two years of age. Only surviving child, Charles Shepard 2d, author of this chart, b 9 Nov., 1900 at 121 Fifteenth Avenue North, Seattle, Washington State. M 28 Oct., 1898, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Tacoma, Washington, her husband's second wife. Wedding trip to Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. M Thomas Rochester Shepard, 2d son of Charles (b 15 Mar., 1818, d 7 Sept., 1899) and Katherine Rochester Colman (b 27 Dec., 1823, d 20 May, 1902) Shepard, b 31 July, 1852, Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Dansville Village, Livingston County, New York.
