"Calling all KAYs -- irrespective of 'KAY' spelling"! The KAY Family Association UK was formed in the summer of 1998 by a small group of dedicated Kay family history researchers. It had been recognised for some time that there were many Kay researchers working on their own who would benefit by being able to communicate with other like minded workers. The aim of the Association is to encourage study of the history of the Kay family in the UK and to provide a focus for members seeking information. Visit the KFA-UK website for more information about the group and details about becoming a member. |
This organization formed in 1988 and has a roster of about 700 dues-paying members. About 95% are descendants of a Robert KAY, who settled in upstate South Carolina in 1794, but anyone with an interest in the KAY(E) name is welcome to join. Dues are $5 - $10 per year, which includes a quarterly newsletter. |
