
The following
photographs are from my great-grandfather's family photo album.
The other identified photographs in the album
were of people from the Owl's Head, So. Thomaston and Rockland area in Maine.
I honestly don't know if these folks were there or in the Boston/Malden
Massachusetts area (where we know our Ash ancestors lived in the very early
1800's).
I'm hoping that someone will see a
clue that they're willing to share.

Mr.
Charles Cook - Clarke Photo, Hillsdale,
MI - with a 2 cent US tax stamp that was only used during the Civil
War/ the stamp tax ended in 1865. A 2 cent stamp means the photos were less than 50
cents each. |
