WITHERLY, WEATHERLY in NC

     I'm looking for a WITHERLY or WEATHERLY connection in NC about
1800.
     I have:
--John E. DAVIS (1874-1939)
 -Elizabeth--Samuel---John ABERNATHY
                     -Margaret KEYES
            -Mary J.--Lorenzo----Solomon SHEPHERD
                                -Susan McGILL
                     -Elizabeth--Andrew WILSON (1803 NC-1869 IA)
                                -Anna (WITHERLY?)--
                                                  -    (WITHERLY?)
     Elizabeth (ABERNATHY) DAVIS' middle name was supposedly WITHERLY.
Where did she get that from?  I have positioned a couple of spots.

     One correspondent suggested Anna Wilson was a PARKER and her
mother was a WEATHERLY.  Another correspondent refuted this.  Clues
anyway.

     Does anyone have WITHERLY or WEATHERLY in NC in lates 1700's or
early 1800's?  HELP!!!
