            Edward Dewhurst was born in Darwen, Blackburn, Lancashire, England between 1742 and 1747.
            He was married on 6 January 1767 in Darwen, Blackburn, Lancashire, to Esther Marsden, who was born between 1745 and 1747, in Blackburn, Lancashire, England.

            1.  Edward Dewhurst was born Darwen, Blackburn, Lancashire, England, between 7 March 1767-9 October 1771 [1764, where was he baptized ].         
            He arrived on St. Croix in about 1792.        
            He was married between 1796-1798 on St. Croix to Elizabeth Seaton.
            Elizabeth died in about 1800 [prior to January 1807 ] on St. Croix.
            He was married again, on 9 December 1802 in the Christiansted Anglican Church to Elisabeth Markoe Heyliger, who was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in about 1781 and was baptized in the Anglican Church.          
            He was married to a woman who was born on St. Croix in about 1806 and was a member of the Anglican Church.
            Portraits were painted by Eliab Metcalf sometime between 13 January and 1 July 1826.
            On 13 October 1828, he bought at auction, estate Concordia, 2 & 18 West End Quarter.
            He died on 9 October 1843, aged 79, of "infirmity," and was buried at estate Concordia, West End Quarter.

            By 1857, he was living at 18 Strand Street, Frederiksted as a widower, with his children.
            Died on 28 October 1879 on St. John.

            6.  Isaac Heyliger Dewhurst was born in Frederiksted, St. Croix on 30 September1804. 
He was married on 6 December 1832 in Frederiksted to Elizabeth Newton [married Stevens], who was born on St. Croix in about 1800 /1806 and was a member of the Anglican Church.   
He was knighted (Ritmester) by the Danish crown. 
In October 1846, she was living as “Mrs. E. Stevens” at estate Castle, Prince’s Quarter, a widow, “supported from her income”.
            In 1851, they were resident at estate Betty's Hope, where he was the Planter.   He died on 25 July 1844, at Betty’s Hope.[?1854] 
            In 1857, she was living as a widow with her children at estate Stony Ground, West End Quarter.  
She died on 9 February 1868 on St. Croix.

He was a member of the Anglican Church, and she was a member of the Danish Lutheran Church.  
He was a medical Doctor.
He died on 25 March 1845.

1825 and was baptized on 27 March 1830 in the Christiansted Anglican Church.   The sponsors were Samuel and William Knight and Mrs. S. C. Goold and Mrs. S. Heyliger       They had four children.
            On 21 June 1855, he received a Burgher Certificate as an estate owner.  
            In 1857, he was characterized as a Planter and a Merchant.  
            In 1857, he owned estate Golden Grove, Prince's Quarter and continued to do so in 1870.
            In 1857, the family was on a trip away from the island.   But were back in December 1857, when their son, Richard was born.   At that time, he was listed as a Planter at estate Golden Grove.
            In 1860, he was listed as a Planter at estate Negro Bay.   In 1862, he was listed as the Proprietor of estate Negro Bay.
            He owned estate Whim from 1862 to 9 June 1870.

            23.  Elizabeth Heyliger Dewhurst was born on St. Croix in about 1839 and she was baptized in the Anglican Church.  
            In October 1846, she was living with her mother and sisters at estate Castle, Prince’s Quarter, unmarried and supported by her mother.
In 1857, she was living with his mother at estate Stony Ground, West End Quarter.  
She was married on 18 March 1862 to Francis Bell Griffith, who was a member of the Anglican Church. 
In 1857, she was living with his mother at estate Stony Ground, West End Quarter.   
In 1857, she was living at estate Stony Ground and he was living in Frederiksted.

            24.  Clara Kortright Dewhurst was born on St. Croix on 21 April 1841 and was baptized on 29 July 1841 in the Frederiksted Anglican Church.   
In October 1841, she was living at estate Betty's Hope. 
In October 1846, she was living with her mother and sisters at estate Castle, Prince’s Quarter, unmarried and supported by her mother.
In 1857, she was living with her mother at estate Stony Ground, West End Quarter.
She was married on 23 January 1864 in Frederiksted, to Ernst Franz Eberbach, who was born on 15 June 1831 in Coburg, Thüringen, Germany.
He died on 13 February 1894 in Hamburg, Germany.

            25.  Agnes Georgiana Dewhurst was born on St. Croix on 8 March 1843 and she was baptized on 9 May 1843 in the Anglican Church.  
            In October 1846, she was living with her mother and sisters at estate Castle, Prince’s Quarter, unmarried and supported by her mother.
In 1857, he was living with his mother at estate Stony Ground, West End Quarter.

            26.  Sarah Mayers Dewhurst was born in York, England.
            She married in September 1838, Thomas Duckworth.*

            27.  Elizabeth Heyliger Dewhurst was born on 13 May 1842 in Lymington,  Hampshire, England. 
            She moved to Australia and eventually lived at a place called Concordia.

She was married on 12 December 1872 in Collingwood, Victoria,

            31.  Jane Caroline Heyliger Dewhurst was born on 24 February 1845 and was baptized on 28 March 1845 in the Anglican Church.
            She died on 18 June 1845.
