[1] George Beardsley Allen is buried at Elmlawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York in the same grave as George W., Elizabeth K., and Farnsworth Bass. In the 1870 census, George and Louisa show up in Buffalo Ward 10, Erie, New York with all their children. Also in the household is enumerated Anna Emeigh, sister to Louisa, who works as a "clerk in store" and Anna Scheffe, "domestic servant." Since Louisa Emeigh Allen did not die until 1916, she and George must have divorced. Data in census records suggests George m. Mary K. ? in 1880 after the census was enumerated, since in the 1880 census he lives with son John Benjamin in the household of his sister Alice and her husband David Wall. In 1910, the couple is enumerated together and the census says they have been married for 21 years. Mary K. ? had one son named George W. Wood to whom George left a gold watch while he gave $1 each to his three birth children.

[2] According to the 1901 Canada Census, John Benjamin Allen went to Fort Erie Village, Welland, Ontario, Canada in 1898. His wife, Maude, also American was b. 16 September 1868 in New York. In 1901, the couple had the following children: Horace, b. 16 July 1895; Louis Emeigh b. 25 February 1897 and Grace b. 22 November 1900. Horace and Louis E. are listed as American and were likely b. in New York, while Grace is listed as born in Ontario. Also living in the household was Mary Weston, mother of Maude, b. 4 January 1835. By 1920, John B and Maud are living in Woonsocket Ward 2, Providence, Rhode Island with children: Lauree J Allen (8), Doris Allen (7), Irene M Allen (2), and Lillian Allen (1/12) - note Grace is not in the household, but was much older and had likely moved on. I am struggling to find either Horace or Louis as well.
