Lyda married to Thomas S. Swindell on Feb. 7, 1883 in Lake Landing Township. Thomas was the son of Henry Lucas Swindell (1826-1877) and Margaret Anna Benson (1838-1903). Lyda's sister, Sarah Etta Spencer, married Henry Lucas Swindell, Jr., the brother of her husband, Thomas S. Swindell, therefore the children of the brothers were Double First Cousins.
By the time I was 8 years old, I had visited my Great Grandmothers quite often in Hyde County...."Lyda" at Lake Landing and Sarah Ann Rebecca at Swindell Fork.
