Book B, Page 257: 4 July, 1727 -- Elijah STANTON, Planter, and wife Elizabeth to Solomon HENDRICK, Planter, both of Perquimans Precinct, Albemarle County, North Carolina; 28 Pounds for 200 acres on the South West side of Little River, where Elijah STANTON now liveth; butted & bounded by George GORDEN�s land on the South , on the South West by lands formerly owned by Thomas ROBERSON, dec�d., on the North West by Robert COCKS land and so down the River to the first station. Part of a tract of land containing 312 acres granted on 1 Jan., 1694 to William JACKSON, Junr.; 208 acres he sold to Richard NOWELL on 11 July, 1704; he granted it to his daughter Alice who married John WINBERRY. Book C, Page 232-33: 16 Jan. 1737 - John ROBERTSON (ROBINSON), Perquimans Precinct, farmer, to Jeremiah HENDRICK, Pasquotank Precinct, farmer, 35 Pounds in Specie for a tract of land lying on the S.W. Side of Little River in Perquimans Precinct Containing One hundred & fifty Acres more or less butted & bounded with Solomon HENDRICK below it & the Heirs of William JACKSON, Junr. Land above it. Book C, Page 233-35: 16 Jan. 1737 - North Carolina} To all Christian people to whome these present Shall come Greetings, Know ye that I John ROBERTSON of Perquimans precinct Farmer for & in consideration of the sum of thirty five pounds in Species to me in hand before the ensealing Hereof well & truly paid (or Secured to be paid) by Solomon HENDRICK of the same place farmer, the receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge & myself therewith fully satisfied & contented And thereof & every part & parcell thereof Do Exeronerate And Discharge the Said Solomon HENDRICK his heirs Executors Admrs. Forever by these present, Have given granted Bargained Sold Aleined Conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents do fully freely & Absolutely give grant Bargain Sell Alein Convey and Confirm unto him the said Solomon HENDRICK his heirs & Assigns forever One tract of land situated lying & being on the Southwest Side of Little River in Perquimans Precinct containing by estimation One hundred & five acres be it more or less Butted & Bounded Beginning at the lower end of the Doctors Branch towards the River thence running up the middle of the said branch to a pine standing on the Southwest Side of the said branch marked with three notches thence SW by W to a marked Red Oak Sapling thence to another Ditto, thence out to the end of the line being the upper side thereof And with Samuel RIGHTS (WRIGHTS) line on the lower side, thence along the River Pocosin to the first Station or howsoever otherwise bounded or reputed to be bounded. To Have and to Hold the Said Granted & Bargained premises with all the appurtenances priviledges & Commodities to the Same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Solomon HENDRICK his heirs & Assigns forever To his & their proper use benefit & behoof forever And I the Said John ROBINSON for me my heirs Executors Admrs. Do Covenant promise & grant to & with the Said Solomon HENDRICK his heirs & Assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am the true & lawfull owner of the above bargained premises & am lawfully Seized & possessed of the same in mine own proper right as a good perfect & Absolute Estate of Inheritance In fee Simple And have in myself good right full power & lawfull Authority to grant Bargain Sell Convey & Confirm the Said Bargained premises in manner as Abovesaid, And that the Said Solomon HENDRICK his heirs & Assigns Shall & may from time to time and at all times from hereafter by force & Virtue of these presents lawfully Peacefully & quietly Have Hold use Occupy Possess & enjoy the Said Demised & Bargained premises with the appurtenances free & Clear & freely & Clearly acquited Exonerated & discharged of & from all & all manner of former or other gifts, grants, Bargains, Sales, leases, mortgages, Wills, entails, Jointures, Dowries, Judgements, Executions, Incumbrances & Extents ----- Furthermore I the Said John ROBINSON for myself my Heirs Executors Admrs. Book F, p. 14: 13 Oct. 1750 - North Carolina} To all Christian People to whome these present Shall come Greetings, Know ye that I John ROBINSON of the county of Perquimans farmer for & in consideration of the sum of thirty five pounds in Species to me in hand paid before the ensealing hereof by Solomon HENDRICK of the same place farmer, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself therewith fully satisfied, contented & paid & thereof & every part thereof do exeronerate, acquit & discharge sd Solomon HENDRICK�s heirs Executors or any of them viz. William MAGOUNE has intermarried with Frances the daughter of sd Solomon HENDRICKS & John JACKSON that intermarried with Sarah another of sd daughters of Solomon HENDRICKS forever by these present have given granted bargained sold aleined conveyed & confirmed & by these presents do freely fully & absolutely -- give, grant, bargain, sell, convey & confirm unto them the sd Wm. MAGOUNE & Frances the wife of him the sd Wm & John JACKSON & Sarah the wife of him the sd John JACKSON & daughters of him the sd Solomon HENDRICK, decd., both the sd Sarah & the sd Frances coheirs of the afsd Solomon HENDRICK bequeathed all the land that he the sd Solomon HENDRICK bought of me the sd Jno. ROBINSON in his lifetime & *by reason the Patent was burnt in Zachariah NIXON�s house & could not be found upon the records of the precinct afsd I the sd John ROBINSON was obliged to survey & patent & make land of a certain messuage or tract of land situate lying & being on the southwest side of Little River in the County of Perquimans containing by estimation one hundred & thirteen acres & a half be the same more or less butted & bounded as followeth beginning at a marked cypress standing on the lower side of a little Creek formerly called Platters Creek Nathaniel WELCH�es corner tree then along the sd WELCH�es eighty one chains to Thomas WEEKES� Esquire his line then along WEEKES� line thence on the other side beginning at the lower end of Doctors� branch the head of the afsd Platters� creek toward the river thence running up the middle of the sd branch to a pine marked standing on the SW side of the said branch marked with three notches thence SW by west to a marked red oak sapling, thence to another ditto, thence out to the above sd Thomas WEEKES� Esquire line & thence round as above sd to the aforesd marked cypress on Platters� Creek the first station on the South East side or howsoever otherwise bounded or reputed to be bounded To Have & To Hold the sd granted & bargained premises with all the (p. 15) appurtenances priviledges & commodities to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining to them the sd William MAGOUNE & Frances his wife & John JACKSON & Sarah his wife two of the daughters & coheirs of the aforesaid Solomon HENDRICK them their heirs & assigns forever to their proper use benefit & behoof forever And I the sd John ROBINSON for me my heirs Exors Admrs do covenant promise & grant to & with the sd William MAGOUNE & Frances his wife & John JACKSON & Sarah his wife their heirs & assigns that before the ensealing & delivery hereof I am the true sole & lawfull owner of the above bargained premises & am lawfully siezed thereof in mine own proper right as of a good, perfect & absolute estate of inheritance in fee simple & have in myself good right full power & lawful authority to grant bargain sell convey & confirm the sd bargained premises in manner as above & that the sd William MAGOUNE & Frances his wife & the sd John JACKSON & Sarah his wife their heirs & assigns shall, may from time to time or at all times forever, hereafter, by force & virtue of these presents lawfully & quietly have hold use, occupy, possess & enjoy, the sd demised & bargained premises with the appurtenances free & clear & freely & clearly acquited exonerated & discharged of & from all & all manner of former or other gifts, grants, bargains, sales, leases, mortgages, wills, entails, jointures, dowries, Judgements, Executions, incumbrances & extents ----- Furthermore I the Said John ROBINSON for myself my heirs exors admrs do covenant & engage the above demised premises to them the sd William MAGOUNE & Frances his wife & him the sd John JACKSON & Sarah his wife their heirs & assigns against the lawful claim or demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter to warrant, secure, & defend provided always that the several purchasers do not forfit the same through his or their refusal, neglect, or noncompliance with the terms upon which the said land was granted to me the sd John ROBINSON by a deed of grant bearing the date the 25th day of march in the year of our Lord 1747 reference being thereunto had among other things will more fully & at large appear, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 13th day of October in the year of our Lord 1750.

* The above deed is basically the same as the 1737 deed, Book C, Page 233-35, of John Robertson to Solomon Hendrick, repeated here because the original patent had been burnt in Zachariah Nixon�s house and couldn't be found in the precinct's records. Therefore John Robertson was obliged to survey and re-patent the land for this tract of land, now owned by Solomon Hendrick's heirs, his daughter Sarah and her husband John Jackson and his daughter Frances and her husband William Magoune (McGowan).

Book F, p. 140: 29 July 1754 - No Carolina } This indenture made this 29th day of July Anno Dom 1754 between John JACKSON of Tyrrel County & Saint Andrew�s Parrish in the province afsd, planter of the one party & Charles TAYLOR of Perquimans County & Berkeley Parrish in the province afsd, planter, of the other part � Witnesseth that I the sd John JACKSON for & in consideration of the sum of twenty two pounds Virga. currency to me in hand paid by the sd Charles TAYLOR, I have sold one tract of land lying in Berkely Parrish & Perquimans County on the So West Side of little River butted & bounded as follows Viz � beginning at a pine standing by the River Pocosin on the upper side of the sd land thence to Red Oak thence to another Red Oak thence through the Doctor�s Branch to an ash thence to a Hicory thence to a Red Oak thence to another Red Oak thence to Hicory thence to a White Oak Stump thence to a pine thence to gum thence to another gum thence to a pine thence over the Road to a pine thence to black gum thence to a maple thence to another maple thence to a poplar thence to a maple thence to sweet gum thence to a pine thence another sweet gum thence to a pine thence to a poplar in the head line so along the head line down the river to the corner tree so down the sd line to the River Pocosin so along the sd Pocosin up the river to the first station, or howsoever otherwise bounded or reported to be bounded containing & being laid out for eighty acres more or less, being the lower most part of a tract of land containing 437 acres given granted to Joseph & John ROBINSON by a grant from the Right honorable John Earl of Granville bearing the date the 25th of March Anno Dom 1749 asrelation being thereunto had may more fully & at large appear & from the sd John & Joseph ROBINSON from them to me the sd John JACKSON & Sarah my wife & William MAGOWN & Frances his wife as a deed bearing the date October the 13th Anno Dom 1750�

Book F, p. 226: 2 Sept. 1756 - North Carolina } Perqms County } This indenture made the 2nd day of Sept 1756 between William MAGOUND and Frances his wife of the county and province aforesaid farmer of the one part and Aaron JACKSON of the County and province aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that sd Wm. MAGOUND and Frances MAGOUND his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of the Collony of Virga, The receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and of every part and parcel thereof the sd Aaron JACKSON is exonerated and discharged by these present hath given granted Aliened bargained Sold en_____ and confirmed unto the said Aaron JACKSON his heirs exors. admrs. And assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the So West Side of Little River in the County aforesaid containing by estimate 52 ½ acres be it more or less, butted & Bounded, beginning at the mouth of the Doctor Branch then running up the middle of the Sd Branch to a pine marked 3 notches Standing on the So West Side of Sd Branch, then So West ny West to a marked red oak thende to another do, thence out to the end of the line then running on Thos. WEEK�S lower back line till it comes to the corner tree that was made between the Sd Wm MAGOUND and John JACKSON then down that line to the mouth of the Sd Branch to a small ash, from thence to the first Station together with all and singular wood underwood ways paths pasages waters and with the reversion (?) and remainder rants (?) and raises (?) with all the profits Thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining - To Have and To Hold, The aforesaid recited and free bargained premises with this and every of this appertainances unto him the Sd Aaron his heirs Exors & Assigns forever to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever but to enjoy the same without any trouble or molestation of him the Sd Wm MAGOUND his heirs Exors &c. Further I the Sd Wm MAGOUND my heirs Exors & admrs. Do covenant promise & grant to and with the Sd Aaron JACKSON his heirs &c. to warrant secure and defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, free and clear of & from all manner of gifts, grants, bargains, sales, leases, mortages, jointures, dowries judgements executions and all incumbrances whatsoever.
