Ollie C. Pollard, born before 1885, a son of Amos M. McGowan. His mother was a Pollard. The given name of his mother is unknown at present. Amos McGowan and his first wife, Alma (Chambers) McGowan, divorced sometime in the early 1880's after their child had died. He remarried on May 18, 1890, to Sarah Frances Smiley. Sometime in the mid 1880's he had an affair with Ollie's mother and he was the result.

As an adult, Ollie was resentful of his father's family. He may have moved to West Frankford, Franklin County, Illinois and was the owner of a mercantile store.
