Deed Book 3, pp. 1 - 122

The eastern section of present day Hyde County, where the Mattamuskeet Indian Reservation was located, was part of Currituck County until 1745. These deeds, dealing with the sale of reservation lands to white settlers, is to suppliment those deeds cited in The Mattamuskeet Documents. These are found in "By a Line of Marked Trees" Abstracts of Currituck County, NC, Deed Books [1], 1-2, and 3, by John A. Brayton. Of the eighteen deeds listed below, four are also cited in The Mattamuskeet Documents.
