Dr. James Robert Anderson b) 19 June 1861 Columbia SC, d 12 December 1928.
He was the son of Rev. Robert Burton and Jennie Thornwell Anderson, who was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church for a quarter of a century. Dr. Anderson was a graduate of U. Va & Tulane Un. He practiced medicine for forty years in Morganton and was a fine example of the old time family physician. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Elizabeth T. Powe Anderson was educated in the private schools in Morganton and was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Morganton.
