Olin
and I have a number of family lines located in Louisa and Washington
Counties, Iowa. Both of our paternal lines came to Iowa in
the 1850's. The Jennings family hailed from Fayette Co.,
Pennsylvania and Ohio. My grandmother's Jarrard family also
are found first in Pennsylvania and then migrated down the Ohio River
through Ohio and on to Illinois and Iowa. The Fultons in Virginia and
the Sniders in Preston County, W. Va. near the Pennsylania boundary
line.
Family photos and lineages of a number
of collateral
lines have been included as families often settled near one another as
they migrated leading to multiple research in that area,, but more
extensive in depth research has been done on Jarrard, Jennings, Greene
and Snider Families. The surnames
page will provide further clues as to whether it is also your ancestor. Olin

Counties, Iowa. Both of our ancestral lines came to Iowa in
the 1850's. One of my great grandmothers Rebecca McCorkle was
only a year old when her parents moved here in 1855 but her father
owned land and paid taxes as early as 1849. The Jennings,
Jefferies, etc. arrived with their families in 1854 in a
wagon
train but individual members of the family appear to have scouted the
area even earlier. Their stories are preserved here for
future
